wbjournal.com | August 19, 2024 | Worcester Business Journal 65 4 0 U N D E R F O R T Y A L U M N I What is something that you would like to tell the young up and coming leaders of today? The Worcester Business Journal recognized me as 40 under Forty when I was 33 years old. This year, I celebrated the 34th year of my career. I am lucky to have the perspective that only decades of experience can provide. When I was a young man, I was sure that I understood the meaning of success, but that meaning has evolved dramatically for me since then. I gradually, and somewhat reluctantly, learned that success is something that has many meanings and is not easily quantifiable. I am lucky to work with people committed to our clients and to each other. We are always there for our clients and provide something that my younger self did not realize was such a valuable resource: peace of mind. The phrases "Life begins once you step out of your comfort zone," "If not you, then who? If not now, then when?" and "Everybody dies, but not everybody lives," may be clichés but they are all part of a philosophy that drives us. To help – in ways that do not always fit in the mold of a given job description – is to live.
