The Maine Community Foundation in Ellsworth added Scot Draeger, Ingrid Kiefer, Alistair Raymond and Raymond Rice to its board of directors. Draeger is pres- ident R.M. O'Meara is a partner, chair of edu- cation law and co-chair of litiga- tion and trial practice groups at Murray Plumb & Murray, a law firm in Portland. Cross Insurance in Bangor announced that Royce Cross, chairman, was selected as the recipient of the "Insurance Library's 2024 Insurance Professional of the Year Award." Piper Shores, a retirement commu- nity in Scarborough, said that Philip Jean, CEO, was awarded the "Chair Award" from the American College of Health Care Administrators' chair of the board for exceptional leader- ship and service. Uprise Partners, a managed IT ser- vices firm in Portland, was recog- nized by MES Computing, a brand of the Channel Company, as one of its "2024 MES Midmarket 100." New Dimensions Federal Credit Union in Waterville said it was included on the Forbes list of "America's Best-In- State Credit Unions 2024." Portland Water District announced that S&P Global Ratings raised its bond rating to "AA+" from "AA" with a stable outlook. e upgrade reflects the district's abundant water supply, low rates and strong finan- cial metrics. In addition, the district said Moody's assigned it Aa3 water bonds and Aa1 sewer bonds that will result in a savings of $140,000 over 20 years. Amanda Read, a medical assistant in MaineHealth Pediatrics Farmington (formerly Franklin Health Pediatrics), received the "Francine M.
