To remain on the vanguard of behavioral health treatment by continuing and expanding evidence- based, compassionate, innovative, and trauma-informed care in a holistic wellness environment at our Independence Hall treatment facility in Shrewsbury and at our Worcester location addressing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. 2. To reduce Veteran homelessness by providing housing and support programs, prevention services, and advocacy at the federal and state level. 3. To continue promoting awareness of and appreciation for the sacrifices made by Veterans and their families for all of us, including the challenges that put them at greater risk for homelessness, substance use and mental health disorders. 4. To expand and augment new programs and services for underserved and marginalized populations. 5. To empower and support females in their recovery, by providing comprehensive, gender-responsive programs and services that address their unique needs. 6. To provide critical suicide prevention services to service members, Veterans, and their families. 7. To implement a comprehensive outreach approach to improving mental health outcomes and reducing homelessness and suicide risk by introducing a new Mobile Outreach Center initiative. For an in depth look at all of our events and ways to provide essential support to our Veterans in need please visit www.Veteransinc.org/. is fall we look forward to hosting a full calendar of important and dynamic events, beginning with our 3rd Annual Recovery Summit on September 19th hosted at our Shrewsbury location at Independence Hall. is year we celebrate our biennial Gala Military Ball back at our Historic Armory, October 19th . An evening filled with food, music, and a tribute to our heroes in service. We kick off the festive season with the Annual Run4Veterans 5k run/walk, now hosted at Polar Park on November 3rd and of course, on Veterans Day, November 11th we celebrate our honored servicemen and women with our annual Pancake Breakfast (free to all) at our headquarters at 69 Grove St. in Worcester followed by the City's Veterans Day Parade, and November 26 with our Holiday Harvest where we look to our generous donors' support to ensure enough turkeys and fixings are available for over 700 Veterans and their families in the community to enjoy a anksgiving meal. We will open 2025 with our 28th Annual Charity Golf Classic in May followed by our 20th Annual Stand Down- e Largest Veteran-focused Resource Fair in Central MA., in June. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES is fall we kick off the Veterans Inc. Annual Appeal; keep an eye out as you won't want to miss the opportunity to give and to receive! It is our tradition, with just a minimum of a $100 donation, you will receive a beautiful White House Christmas Ornament! is year our goal is to surpass $200,000 in essential support of our mission and over 6,000 Veterans annually! VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Food Services – Help hand out food to our Veterans and their families in Worcester County at our food pantry or help serve or sponsor a meal in our hot meals program. Our food pantry is open on the first and third ursday and every Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fundraising & Community Events – Assist with our annual Golf Tournament, Recovery Summit, Pancake Breakfast, Run4Veterans 5K Road Race, and the biennial Gala Military Ball. Volunteers help with event planning, management, and promotion. Events & Programs for our Veterans - Help by sponsoring events to include seasonal/holiday parties, cookouts, our annual, Stand Down, and our annual Holiday Harvest. Office Support – Help Veterans Inc. process seasonal donations and manage other special projects. Recreational Activities – Spend a few hours doing a recreational activity. Examples include movie nights, basketball or soball games, tennis, fishing, nature walks, and board game tournaments. Service Projects – Host a corporate event or company-wide service project at our Historic Armory and Drill Hall. With its expansive, open layout, it offers the perfect venue to accommodate large groups or special projects. Run a Donation Drive – Collect items on our Wish List.
