Expand teen programming at all sites by doubling teen program space and launching newly created programs such as eSports program to attract teens and build academic skills, decision-making, relationship and leadership abilities and Certified Nurse's Aide course for ages 18–26. It will include classroom and lab, clinical hours and the certification exam, free of charge. 2. Working with our families and community to expand our footprint in Plumley Village and Great Brook Valley, so we can offer the best – and most relevant – programs to SERVE even more kids and teens in Worcester. 3. Continue Mentor Connection program matching youth to adult mentors – professionals, clergy, college students, etc. 4. All programs offer social-emotional learning supports to help members strengthen their coping skills. 5. Improve outcomes for Worcester's youth, including grades, graduation rate, and increasing teen jobs. 6. Grow our endowment to $10M to ensure that we can offer state-of-the- art facilities, impactful programs and services, and stay on solid financial ground for another 135 years. FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES Holiday Giving, November– December 2024: Donate gis/ gi cards, adopt a family or make a monetary donation to help provide presents and meals for 2,000+ children and 250+ families this season. Festival of Trees, December 4–7, 2024: Sponsorship opportunities, donate a tree, buy raffle tickets and visit our winter wonderland. Be A Voice, Women's Leadership Breakfast, March 2025: Sponsorship opportunities. Alumni Hall of Fame Induction, June 2025: Sponsorship opportunities, donate in honor of an inductee. Annual Graduation Ceremony – and scholarship presentation – for our high school seniors, June 2025: Sponsorship opportunities, donate in honor of a graduate. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Named gi opportunities and brick pathway sponsorships to support our campaigns are available at the Harrington Clubhouse in Main South Worcester and Great Brook Valley. Sponsors are needed for our special events. Fall, year-end and spring annual appeals are sent out by mail. Online giving is available 24/7 on our web site: www.bgcworcester.org/donate. Giving opportunities are also available in our monthly eNewsletter. Individual and corporate donations of food, toiletries, cleaning supplies and paper goods for our food pantry (still open to all local families in need); toys for our annual Holiday Giving Program; warm winter clothing; and back-to-school supplies make a huge difference to our Club kids and their families. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 1. Mentor: Mentor Connection volunteers influence members' confidence, school success, autonomy, and more. Kids do better when they have a trusted adult to go to. Timeframe: One evening/month, school year. 2. Kids Café: Sponsor or serve dinner to 300 Club kids. Timeframe: Weekdays year-round, lunch (summer) or dinner (school year). 3. Career Support: Allow teens to shadow employees, to see firsthand the real-world scope of a field that interests them. Run a workshop/be a guest speaker on resume writing, field entry requirements, interview tips, college prep topic, etc. Timeframe: School year weekday aernoon(s), 1-2 hours 4. Day of service: Group of volunteers cleans, paints, does yard work, etc. Timeframe: School year weekdays before 2 p.m. 5. Arts & Cras: Lead an activity for members. Timeframe: Weekday aernoon(s)/ evening(s) year-round, 1–2 hours. 6. Special Event Committees: Help organize fundraising events. Timeframe: Monthly meetings.
