18 Giving Guide 2024 Worcester Business Journal www.wbjournal.com FUTURE GOALS In 2024, we are launching our Strategic Plan which will put our agency on a bold path to a big future, where every young person is empowered to create a plan for their own future and a mentor whose impact lasts a lifetime. e Strategic Plan will focus on 4 key pillars: Reach: Reach more young people with mentoring experiences that puts them on a path to success and happiness. Relevance: Engage more alumni and champions to join our mission. Revenue: Generate transformational investment in the Big Brothers Big Sisters' mission. Resources: Become best in class by strengthening staff and board skills and fostering a data-informed culture. During the first year of the plan, some key goals have been identified below: 1. Raise awareness about our programming and mission. 2. Increase the number of youth served. 3. Increase giving levels. 4. Become more data-informed to better understand impact. 5. Support our Littles and families in a holistic way through our C.A.R.E.S program.Amid the many challenges and uncertainties our youth are facing, mentoring remains a powerful force for positive change. We look forward to continuing on our trajectory of growth to create lasting impact for the youth we serve. FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES e Big Celebration – our annual Gala which takes place each Spring. is event includes a silent and live auction, live band, and a brief speaking program. Golf Fore Kids Tournament – June 24th, 2024 at Marlborough Country Club - https://bigscm.org/golf-fore-kids/. We are looking for sponsors and foursomes to participate in this event. Rodman Ride for Kids – September 21, 2024 in Foxborough, MA – Participate in this fundraiser by collecting donations for your ride! e Rodman Ride for Kids is an all-day cycling event (25 or 50 miles) starting and ending in Foxboro, MA. We are looking for participants to join us in this fun event! All you have to do is join an existing BBBS team or create your own team and start FUN-draising. Not a bike rider? at's ok! You can sign up as a Virtual Participant. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES No donation is too little and all donations make a big impact. Your support helps us continue to support youth mentorship in the Central Mass and Metrowest regions. Donated funds go towards training programs, events, and the staff needed to match Bigs and Littles, monitor relationships, and ensure safe, empowering connections between our children and mentors. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Mass and Metrowest matches Littles between the ages of 8-16 with Bigs in a one-to-one, life-changing friendship. Bigs and Littles meet on average two times a month for a few hours enjoying normal, everyday activities, like going to see a movie, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out! Each match is supported by a dedicated Match Support & Success Team Member who is always there to provide resources and support. With a Big in their life, children and young adults in the program are empowered to ignite their potential as they grow in their self-esteem and develop a lifelong friendship with their Big. Additionally, there are several events that our agency hosts for children on the waitlist.
