LEADERSHIP GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT: e high quality of our work will demonstrate a commitment to consistent improvement through the achievement of key performance indicators and program goals. 3. ORGANIZATIONAL READINESS: e Learning Center for the Deaf will build capacity by designing systems with the intention and efficiency to promote engagement and growth and support data-driven decision-making. 4. ENGAGED, EQUITABLE, & INCLUSIVE CULTURE: e Learning Center for the Deaf will manifest a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging and continue to be a place where Deaf Culture and American Sign Language are the medium used predominantly in all our interactions with signing communities. 5. CENTER OF EXCELLENCE FOR DEAF EDUCATION & SERVICES: e Learning Center for the Deaf Brand will be recognized as the highest-quality, culturally responsive center of excellence for Deaf Education and services. FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES e Learning Center for the Deaf welcomes giving year-round through our secure website, which provides a simple and accessible opportunity to support our mission at any time. We have various services that benefit the community and allow us to support our missions through revenues earned. We provide community American Sign Language classes (www.tlcdeaf. org/services/community-asl-classes) for anyone who is interested in learning sign language. We also provide sign language interpreting services (www. tlcdeaf.org/services/interpreting- services) to the surrounding community and have an audiology clinic (www.tlcdeaf.org/services/ audiology). We also provide opportunities for one- time giving, annual giving, recurring giving, in memoriam giving, Amazon wishlists for our residential program, workplace giving, planned giving, event sponsorship, and donating items for specific occasions or projects. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES TLC's Athletic Department and Aer- School Programs provide year-round opportunities for giving in support of our 200 deaf and hard of hearing students enrolled in Pre-K through Grade 12+. We occasionally host the Eastern Schools Deaf Athletic Association Tournament, providing a venue for other Deaf Schools to gather and compete. Additionally, our students oen travel to other schools; gis support transportation and accommodations for these experiences. Our nationally-recognized residential program welcomes gis to support recreational activities for our students who live, work, learn, and play on campus year-round. We host an annual camping trip and provide a holiday wish list on Amazon, in addition to other special events. Our fall appeal and annual spring fundraiser are wonderful opportunities to support our community programs and services. Online giving is available year-round through our secure website. We accept year-round referrals of deaf students, deaf children & adults needing mental health services, audiology patients, and American Sign Language Interpreting service requests. Your referral is the highest compliment you can give! VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES e Learning Center for the Deaf is grateful for our many volunteers and partners with our community in various capacities. Our campus communication policy reflects that American Sign Language is our primary language; we ask that our volunteers use American Sign Language to the best of their ability. Volunteers assist with our fundraising and campus events, including preparation and decorations. ese events include Graduation, Spring fundraisers, Homecoming, student 'Moving Up' day, and Retirement parties. Our volunteers have also helped us to beautify our campus, including groundskeeping and flower boxes. Additionally, our volunteers have been helpful in our Library, Finance, and Advancement departments. We are flexible and are able to meet the needs of a volunteer who has limited time or someone who wants to be more involved.
