Service Delivery: Our goal is to provide equitable, individualized care by prioritizing whole-person health, taking into consideration physical, emotional, and social well-being, and working in collaboration with individuals, families, and community partners. We will implement systems to integrate assessment, treatment planning, and the delivery of whole person health. 2. Employee Care and Engagement: Our goal is to create and foster an inclusive organization and culture where employees find meaning in their work, are valued and empowered to achieve personal and professional goals, and provide exceptional services to the community. We will implement workflows and strategies to increase employee engagement. 3. Planful Growth and Infrastructure: Our goal is to remain a strong and competitive human services provider by intentionally pursuing growth opportunities and ensuring that the appropriate infrastructure is in place to sustain new and existing programs. 4. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Our goal is to collaborate with employees, people served and our communities to create and support a welcoming and just environment that advances diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging for all. FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES Open Sky hosts three fundraising events each year. Our Safe Homes Gala in April supports our Safe Homes program which includes a Drop-In Center and services for LGBTQIA+ youth. e event features a silent auction and fund-a-need opportunity. e Valley Friendship Tour held annually in June, is a walk, run, and cycling event for people of all ages and abilities. e Valley Bag Toss, scheduled for October 19, 2024, is a community cornhole tournament that helps support our health and wellness initiatives. For both the Valley Friendship Tour and Valley Bag Toss, participants register and solicit donations from friends and family. e two events also include raffles with tickets available for purchase day of. All three events provide opportunities for corporate sponsorships and donations of raffle or auction items. ValleyCAST, the arts and culture arm of Open Sky, hosts a wide array of art exhibits, concerts, and theatrical events year-round. A portion of all ticket sales helps support these inclusive events, which provide opportunities for individuals with and without disabilities to come together around common interests. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Open Sky supports individuals experiencing behavioral health needs, intellectual and developmental disabilities, homelessness, and other complex challenges to live fulfilling lives. rough over 140 programs, we support individuals and families to achieve their own definition of wellness, develop meaningful relationships, and have access to opportunities of their choosing. ere are many ways for donors to support our work by choosing to contribute to a specific purpose or project, or generally fund areas of greatest need. Online donations are accepted throughout the year through our online giving portal at openskycs.org/donate. We mail two annual appeal letters in the fall, a general letter in support of Open Sky and one specific to fundraising for our Safe Homes Drop-in Center for LGBTQIA+ youth. Another appeal is included with the mailing of our annual report in the spring. To ensure all the people we serve receive a gi during the holiday season, we seek donations of gi cards or funds for our Holiday Gi Drive from companies, organizations, and faith communities. Safe Homes and e PLACE youth drop-in centers, and Community Compass for citizens re-entering the community from incarceration, welcome donations of clothing, non- perishable food items, gi cards, and other supplies. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Open Sky welcomes the contributions of organizations and individuals of all ages and walks of life – from high school or college students performing community service to adults and seniors looking to give back, to corporations looking to build team spirit and meet local community needs. We offer a wide range of one-time and ongoing volunteer opportunities throughout our organizations and across Central Massachusetts. Volunteers may choose to work directly with one of more of the individuals we serve, help organize or support an event, or provide administrative support.
