Serve as a clinical arm for community-based health and foster strategic partnerships to ensure a continuum of care FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES Fundraising is a key part of ensuring that Kennedy Community Health remains financially strong and sustainable. e Health Center fundraises through a mix of grants, fundraising events, and donations. Every dollar goes a long way in advancing our mission to help people live healthier lives. Our robust event schedule includes several major fundraising events. Each year, Kennedy Community Health hosts the following events in the Worcester community: 1. Our annual Walk and 5K Run is being held this year at Polar Park on Sunday, August 11th. e family- friendly event provides participants the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful WooSox stadium while helping to raise needed funds for the Health Center. e 5K run is timed and takes participants around downtown and the Green Island neighborhood, while walkers have the option to stay on the warning track of the field or walk the same 5K route. T-shirts are included in the registration, and the event includes a kids fun run activity. 2. Our Costume Party is held annually in early spring. In 2024, we hosted a cartoon-themed event at the Jean McDonough Arts Center in partnership with Queer the Scene on Friday, April 5th. e event included a fantastic lineup of local performers and musicians for an evening of drag, neo-soul music and dancing. e Health Center also hosts events in the Milford and Framingham communities. Fall and winter events are being planned for these communities in 2024. Details will be posted on www.kennedychc.org and on social media @kennedychc. GIVING OPPORTUNITIES Kennedy Community Health is grateful for the continued support of the community in amplifying its impact on the lives of tens of thousands of individuals each year. e Health Center welcomes donations of any size or type year- round. Monetary donations can be made online via our website, Facebook page and our GiveLively page at https://secure.givelively.org/donate/ KennedyCHC, or via check to Edward M. Local businesses and corporations can support the Health Center's mission through event sponsorships. Sponsorship opportunities are available for fundraising events, as well as to fill specific needs within the organization. We welcome the opportunity to work with local businesses and individuals to develop individualized giving plans or sponsorship packages to meet specific needs and objectives. Donations of masks, personal protective equipment and other supplies are helpful to support our staff needs. Personal and hygiene items may also be collected to support patient needs.
