Northern Light Mercy Hospital was the "Champion Award" winner; the "Catalyst Award" went to Adilah Muhammad, president and executive director of The Third Place; Cullen Ryan, executive direc- tor of Community Housing of Maine, was chosen as the "Collaborator Award" winner; and Jim Cohen, a part- ner at Verrill, was honored with the "Volunteer of the Year" award. Haley Ward Inc., an employee-owned professional engineering, environ- mental and surveying consulting firm in Bangor, said it was named one of Zweig Group's "Best Firms To Work For" for 2024, marking the third con- secutive year of recognition. Cole Ellis, heading into his second year at Thomas College in Waterville, won second place of Season 9 of Greenlight Maine's College Edition business competition show. Ellis won $7,500 for pitching his business, Keep it Clean Heat Pumps, a service and cleaning company in Searsport. Katahdin Trust Co. in Houlton said it earned the designation as a "2024 Best Place for Working Parents" for a third straight year.
