The University of New England hired Scott Wood as director of the Portland Laboratory for Biotechnology and Health Sciences. Wood, a biomedical engineer, was previously an associate professor of nanoscience and biomed- ical engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Reveler Development, a real estate invest- ment, development, construction and management com- pany in Portland, hired Jonathan Diggs as finance director. Diggs most recently served as senior financial officer for the Indirect Consumer Lending portfolio at Truist Financial. The University of Maine at Augusta hired Erin Fogg as vice president of advancement and alumni relations. Most recently, Fogg was vice presi- dent of Good Shepherd Food Bank. Lebel & Harriman Retirement Advisors in Falmouth hired Garrett Duchesne as a financial advisor on its personal finan- cial services team. Sheridan Construction in Fairfield hired Jake Lapierre to oversee IT and site layout, Dylan Copeland as a sales assistant and Chris Beaman as fabrication manager. InterMed in Portland hired Richard King to provide consulta- tive care and general surgery. In a col- laborative arrange- ment, King will also be seeing Northern Light Mercy Hospital surgery patients in Portland. Malone Commercial Brokers in Portland hired Nick Malone as a sales agent. Bowdoin College in Brunswick hired Jim Hoppe as senior vice president and dean for student affairs. Hoppe was previ- ously vice president and dean of campus life at Emerson College in Boston. Maine State Archives in Augusta hired Sarah Hansen as director of spe- cial projects for the Maine Semiquincentennial Commission. Hansen was previously executive director of Greater Portland Landmarks. Pierce Atwood LLP, a law firm in Portland, hired Beverly Uhlenhake as a government affairs consultant in its government relations and lobbying practice group. Hancock Lumber in Casco hired Mark Smith as gen- eral manager of its Damariscotta location. Fontaine Family, an Auburn real estate firm, hired Melinda Cote as an associ- ate broker.
