Clark University received a $10-million donation in March toward estab- lishing a new School of Climate, Environment and Society. Quinsigamond Commu- nity College is one of the 15 schools to offer students over the age of 25 free associate degrees and profession- al certificates. Fitchburg State University in May selected Donna Souder Hodge to become the first woman president in the school's history. After he stepped into the role on an interim basis following the forced resignation of the former Nichols Col- lege president, William Pieczynski became the school's ninth president in April after a half- year-long search.
