The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce has raised $2.47 million to create a strategic opportunity fund to use for economic development and workforce initiatives. In 2018, the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce launched the Blackstone Valley Hub for Workforce Development; its most recent additions include an electronics and robotics lab. In May, the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce honored Brian Tanguay of Tanguay Jewelers in Gardner with the chamber's 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award. Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce selected Michelle Mercier as new president and CEO in April.
