Powell-Stafford has more than 25 years of experience, having most recently served as presi- dent and CEO of HCA Northside Hospital, in St. Petersburg, Florida. In her new role, which she starts June 3, Powell-Stafford will also oversee Mt. Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford. Powell-Stafford served as president and CEO of HCA Northside Hospital since 2019. Fischer, a graduate of Roger Williams University, joined Newman in 2004. In addition, Melinda Marlén Agron, also a principal, was named chief operating officer. She joined Newman in 2018 and has degrees from Yale University, where she teaches architecture. The four director-level positions are: Laura Gilmore, director of design; Abigail M. The National Park Service desig- nated an 11.4-acre rectangular area anchored by the "Long Walk and Chapel" area as the Trinity College Long Walk Historic District with national importance. College officials said they sought the designation while planning the school's yearlong bicentennial celebration. Trinity's featured architecture dates back to the late 19th century through the mid-20th century, the college said. The Long Walk encompasses a series of attached buildings laid out around three sides of the Main Quad and roughly forming the letter "c." It is made up of adjacent buildings including Jarvis Hall, built in 1878; Northam Towers, 1883; and Seabury Hall, 1878, among others. Developer plans $200M project to convert Enfield Square mall into a mixed-use site A Nebraska-based company plans to convert the Enfield Square mall, which has fallen into disrepair and is mostly empty, into a mixed-use development with retail, housing and recreation. Woodsonia Real Estate Group Inc. has agreed to purchase the 570,000-square-foot mall, contin- gent upon receiving the necessary approvals and state funding, from the existing owner, Namdar Realty Group, based in Great Neck, New York. The roughly $200 million project, called Enfield Marketplace, will have 450 residential units and two hotels, along with spaces for retailers and restaurants. The newly renovated space will span about 350,000 square feet. The revitalization effort comes at a time when malls are struggling due to the rise of e-commerce giants like Amazon.
