Building home to 3 West Hartford Center restaurants for sale M ost of a West Hartford Center building that is home to three restaurants has been listed for sale for $9 million. The listing by commercial real estate firm Avison Young seeks to sell a condominium interest in 12,060 square feet of the overall 16,800-square-foot building. The portion of the building listed for sale is 962-966 Farmington Ave., home to Ichiro Hibachi & Sushi, Max's Oyster Bar and Chipotle. The remaining portion not listed for sale houses a Chase Bank branch at 960 Farmington Ave. The entire building was built in 1947 and acquired by JPMorgan Chase Bank for $12.9 million in December 2019. The bank branch opened in 2020. Scott Jamieson, a broker with Avison Young, said the bank is looking to sell the portion of the building that does not include the bank branch. PHOTO | CONTRIBUTED FARMINGTON About a year-and-a-half after selling one of the state's largest home-care providers, the former owner of Farming- ton-based Companions and Homemakers has now sold the company's former headquarters building. Linda Grigerek has sold for $1.7 million a 34,611-square-foot office building at 613 New Britain Ave., in Farmington. The buyer was MKC Properties LLC, which is controlled by managing member Christopher Curtin, who is the founder of an executive leadership training company called Connected Approach Partners. Curtin said he will move his company to the recently purchased building and is looking to rent the remaining available space to other tenants "aligned with the mission of learning, education and development." Grigerek was the founder and CEO of Companions and Homemakers before she sold the company in 2022 to two separate businesses. She originally bought the Farmington property in 2003 for $1.5 million, property records show. Companions and Homemakers no longer occupies space in the New Britain Avenue property, which was vacant at the time of the sale, according to broker Michael Guidicelli. MIDDLETOWN A unique portfolio of mixed-use buildings prominently located along Middletown's busy and popular Main Street has been listed for $6.75 million. The five-building package contains a combined 59 residential units and eight commercial spaces in nearly 54,900 square feet of space. It's unique that a grouping of buildings along a key commercial stretch like Middletown's Main Street is under one ownership and sold as a package, said broker Taylor Perun of Shelton-based Northeast Private Client Group, which has the listing. The properties were picked up piecemeal by owner Lee Perry over the last several years, Perun said. Perry, a New York-based private real estate investor, "set out to create an assem- blage of buildings in a thriving downtown center," Perun said. The commercial spaces are 100% leased, with many long-term and established tenants, and most of the residential units are occupied, Perun said. The properties include: • 542 Main St., with four, one-bedroom apartments and one retail suite. • 594-606 Main St. is two parcels with adja- cent buildings, containing a mix of studios, lofts, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, along with three retail tenants, including Forest City Wine & Spirits, Smoke 911 and Ion Restaurant. • 682 Main St. has 12 two-bedroom apart- ments and two retail suites with tenants Krust Pizza Bar and Middletown Pharmacy. • 710 Main St. has six, two-bedroom apart- ments and two retail suites.
