BUSINESS PROFILES | MAY 2024 | HARTFORD BUSINESS JOURNAL 5 Address: 463 Bank St., New London, CT 06320 Phone: (860) 574-9009 Website: astorplaceinc.com Product or Service: Creative video marketing agency Top Executive: Ralph Belfiglio, Creative Director, and Lauren Logan, Executive Producer Year Founded: 2012 Crafting professional videos that tell great stories for the marketing industry L ooking for a video production company that will guide you from start to finish through the creative process? If so, you might want to consider the talented and passionate team at Astor Place. The creative, New London-based, full- service video-production company has been in business for 12 years, specializing in company overviews, testimonials, how- to-videos, TV commercials and product showcase videos. Astor Place's customers are spread across the country and include Pfizer, Loctite, New York Life, Charter Oak Federal Credit Union, Guardian Insurance, Save the Children, the U.S. Coast Guard and Connecticut Innovations. "Our team of professionals can shoot on location or at our studio in New London," said Lauren Logan, executive producer. "Our postproduction studio has everything you need to create a polished, finished product. Our clients are always happy with our work because we take time to understand their goals and deliver exactly what they are looking for." After having spent 10 years in a three-room studio, Astor Place purchased a commercial space in 2022 better suited for its expanding business. The new three-floor location has allowed for the addition of an in-house studio where the team can shoot video and still photography for clients. In addition to ample parking and an inviting client area for meetings and conferences, the space boasts a dedicated floor featuring a postproduction suite with multiple workstations equipped with the latest software. But technology is only part of the picture for Astor Place. The company also takes pride in establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with its clients. Many return again and again to Astor Place for its unique ability to capture their stories. The emphasis on relationships extends to the professionals who contribute to the finished products from Astor Place. "In the 12 years we have been in business we have been able to maintain and foster some of the most talented people in the state — and we all work together on a regular basis, collaborating and expanding each of our strengths," Logan said. Moving into the new facility two years ago was just one part of a long-term strategy to enable Astor Place to grow as a company not only in size but the range of services it can offer. "The key to our growth has always been to invest in ourselves as a company," Logan said. "With all the options available today for creating content, the one thing that we have noticed and have stayed true to is creating a high-quality product. We are not going to just go out and shoot some footage and piece it together; we are going to create for you something that you need and that is going to work for you. It's going to look professional – there is nothing worse than a bad video. Today there is no such thing as an attention span. There's only the quality of what you are viewing. That is the essence of a great video."
