Safety is not just a checkmark in a box or a quick memo. To me safety is a mindset and a language. It is our job to show employees how to communicate and to think about safety in the workplace and at home. As Elenaor Everet said, "For safety is not a gadget but a state of mind." Spirit has given me an opportunity to learn and grow. Every day I get the chance to hone my technical and inter-personal skills while supporting the awesome projects we work on. My journey to this point has not been what I consider typical, but my determination to work hard, my commitment to quality, and pulling from my diverse experiences have helped me advance within the company from a Production Operator to my current leadership role. As a Production Lead, I enjoy the opportunity to mentor. It's personally fulfilling to be able to see the impact of sharing my experiences and knowledge. We take pride in offering interns a competitive rate of pay and provide insightful projects during their internship. Our interns will be partnered with a mentor and provided guidance throughout the program to ensure their experience is meaningful to their future career. C O M M U N I T Y E N G A G E M E N T We are proud to partner with several local organizations to provide opportunities for our teams to volunteer and serve in our community. We believe in the power of partnerships and programs that bring communities together and each year our team contributes countless hours volunteering as part of our Team Spirit employee volunteerism program. One of the programs we are most proud of is our employee-run gardens! We have a great group who tend to the gardens every season growing produce that is donated to our local food pantry. The team has donated hundreds of pounds of food since the gardens started in 2022, making a real impact to our local community members who are facing everyday food insecurity. S U S T A I N A B I L I T Y We continue our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of our facilities through a transition to a zero-sort waste stream, enhancement of operational procedures, and the implementation of upgraded equipment's. Our commitment to forward thinking is exemplified through the integrations of innovative technologies such as electric vehicle charging stations, solar energy employee run gardens, and overall energy conservations measures. At Spirit, our alignment with values in stewardship and sustainability is profound, as we remain steadfast in our pursuit of enhancing energy saving initiatives and fostering strong community engagement.
