Phelan serves as president of Sartorius Stedim North America. Phelan has been with Sartorius, an international pharmaceutical and lab- oratory equipment supplier with offices in Marlborough, since 2018 and has spent most of his career in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology arena. Phelan's previ- ous work experience includes serving as a research chemist at Boston Children's Hospital and building his biopharma cre- dentials at facilities such as GE Health- Care. Sartorius opened its first manufac- turing site in Marlborough in 2021 and expects to open its fourth Marlborough site in 2024. Kemblowski is the chief operating officer for Apex Entertainment. Over the course of four years, Kem- blowski has been involved with planning and opening the 100,000-square-foot family entertainment center in Marlbor- ough, along with additional locations in Syracuse, Albany, and its newest location in Viriginia Beach. Previously Kemblowski worked for Clear Path for Veterans in De- vens, New England Center for Children in Southborough, and the Boston Children's Hospital. bankHometown, headquartered in Oxford, promoted MEGAN BERKERY from senior personal banker to assistant branch manager at its Thompson, Con- necticut, branch. Berkery has four years of banking experience. She was hired in 2020 as a float personal banker. She is treasurer and a member of the Quinebaug Valley Regional Rotaract Club in Putnam, Connecticut. JENNIFER FLANA- GAN, a partner at Worcester law firm Mirick O'Connell, has been elected as a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Fellows of the ACTEC are leading members of the trust and estate profession, who have made a substan- tial contribution to the field. Flanagan concentrates her practice in all areas of trusts and estates law for a diverse client base, including estate planning, estate administration, trust administration, taxa- tion, and fiduciary advising. ERA Key Realty Ser- vices in Whitinsville hired RANIA KRO- MAR ESKANDAR to its Framingham office as a realtor. Originally from Egypt, Eskandar moved to Framing- ham and became certified in medical interpreting before deciding to pursue a career in real estate. Cornerstone Bank in Southbridge promoted three of its employees to leadership positions. RACHEL BRIGGS of Spencer was promoted from vice president to senior vice president, commercial loan operations. Briggs has been a Cornerstone Bank employ- ee for 24 years. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Worcester State University and a certif- icate in banking and financial support services from the New England School of Financial Studies in Wellesley. KYLE HILL of Brimfield was promoted from vice president to senior vice president, retail loan operations. Hill has worked at Cornerstone Bank for 25 years. As senior vice president, retail loan operations, he will oversee and support the production, processing, underwriting, closing and servicing of residential loans at the bank. JACQUELINE CROFT of Warren was promoted from assistant vice president to vice president, Bank Secrecy Act, risk and security officer. Croft has 14 years experience in the banking industry, with the last two at Cornerstone Bank. In her new role, she is responsible for managing the bank's compliance with all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, and the USA PATRIOT Act. Croft is a certified anti-money laundering specialist and a volunteer educator, providing financial literacy programs focused on fraud pre- vention for students and seniors.
