That's reflected in Hart- ford Business Journal's 2024 Women in Business awards, which garnered nearly 100 nominations. In the pages that follow, we recognize 25 women who are making a significant difference within their organization and the community. This year 's winners hail from diverse backgrounds and industries, includ- ing the accounting, banking, legal and nonprofit sectors. We also have entrepreneurs. In each of the past 22 years, Hart- ford Business Journal has honored the region's most talented women in leadership roles throughout central Connecticut. The winners are nomi- nated by readers and chosen by a panel of independent judges. This year we'd like to thank our judges (Duby McDowell, Lauren Carmody and Michele McQueen) for helping choose our winners. We will honor this year's Women in Busi- ness leaders during a May 2 event at the Aqua Turf Club in the Plantsville section of Southington, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. We hope you enjoy this issue and are able to attend the event.
