The new board members include: Jim Bedard, chief financial officer and treasurer at RVI Group; Felice Gray-Kemp, senior vice president and general counsel at CaaStle; Jennifer Hellberg, DVP, business unit manager at Zygo and Navitar Ametek; Lakia Scott, assistant provost for faculty development and diversity at Yale University; Melinda Thompson, head of personal lines at The Hartford; and Sarah Wojiski, director of education at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine. Existing members elected to board leadership roles include: Len Wolman, chairman and CEO at Waterford Group, board chair; David Glidden, president and CEO at Liberty Bank and Brian Evanko, executive vice president and chief financial officer at The Cigna Group, vice chairs; Andrew Mandell, co-founder and presi- dent at Data-Mail, treasurer; and Cynthia Vodopivec, vice president environmental health and safety at Vistra, secretary. The Town & County Club in Hart- ford, a private women's club located in the city's Asylum Hill neighborhood, has a new leader Kimberly Pérez has taken over as club manager effective Jan. 22. In this role, Pérez serves as the chief executive of the Town & County Club, over- seeing all club activi- ties, including business operations and personnel. Previously, Perez worked for over 19 years at the Golf Club of Avon in a variety of roles, most recently as its chief financial officer and chief operating officer. Law firm Robinson+Cole has hired Patrick J. Trostle to its bankruptcy and reorganizations group in Hartford. Trostle has 30 years of experience representing clients in a wide variety of transactions, including bankruptcy, restructuring and litigation. He joins Robinson+Cole from the New York office of a major international law firm, Eversheds Sutherland. West Hartford nonprofit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut announced that Hartford architect Ted Cutler will receive the youth mentoring organiza- tion's 2024 Visionary Leader Award. The award will be presented at Big Brothers Big Sisters' Designing Big Futures Gala, being held on March 9, at the Farmington Polo Club. Cutler is chairman of the board emeritus at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Connecticut, and principal and CEO of Hartford-based Tecton Architects, a 44-year-old architectural design firm with offices in Connecticut and Rhode Island. Glastonbury-based Integris Group, a member-owned medical profes- sional liability insurance company, announced the promotion of Garrett P. Cronin to chief underwriting officer. Cronin has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined the company in 2018 as the director of underwriting and was promoted to the vice president of underwriting and member services in 2020. Law firm Brown Rudnick recently named Kyle Dorso a partner in its Hartford and Boston offices. Dorso is in the firm's litigation and arbitration practice and has represented clients, ranging from global corporations to individuals, at trial and on appeal, in both federal and state courts, as well as before arbitration panels and mediators. Hartford-based JCJ Architecture recently announced the hiring of Shaowen Chou and Raymond C. Bordwell. Chou is an associate principal and senior project manager, while Bordwell is a principal and commu- nity market sector leader. Shaowen spent the majority of her career at BAR Architects. She has experience leading interdisci- plinary teams on projects spanning mixed-use retail/residential, arts/ entertainment, luxury hotel, and resort developments across the United States and overseas. Bordwell's experience includes serving as an instructor for the Office of Executive Education at Harvard's Graduate School of Design, and holding leadership posi- tions at a national level for promi- nent firms such as Perkins Eastman and Perkins & Will.
