The Foundation for Portland Public Schools said it received a $50,000 matching donation to launch the Ed Feeney Athletics Fund, named after a longtime Portland High School girls' basketball coach. The fund will allow Portland Public Schools coaches, teachers or school social workers to assist a student who lacks basic ath- letic gear to play sports. Sweetser, a behavioral health provider based in Saco, opened a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic at 863 Main St. in Sanford. The clinic was made possible by a $4 million grant re- ceived from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program in Brunswick announced a collabora- tion between its Soup Kitchen and the Gathering Place, People Plus and Independence Association to offer free to members of the greater Brunswick community. Hannaford Supermarkets donated $15,000 to the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter to support its overnight warm- ing center. The center served nearly 350 individuals over the past year. Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty, a luxury property company in Portland, announced that it achieved annual property sales of $865 million in 2023, totaling 898 transac- tion sides and a record-breaking average sales price of $964,000. Wright-Ryan Construction in Portland is celebrating its 40th anniversary. It was founded in 1984 by Tom Wright and John Ryan.
