Contact him at evan@brodergroup.com. Tom Quinn has been promoted to president and chief operating officer of Stratford-based pasta maker Nuovo Pasta Productions Ltd. Quinn has been with the company since 2002, serving in multiple leader- ship roles including sales and operations. In his new role, he will manage day-to-day activities, which include all departments plus three production facilities and a distribution center. Nuovo Pasta is a national producer of premium refrigerated pasta and sauce that produces 22 million pounds of fresh pasta and sauces per year, the company said. Charles Lee, scientific director at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, was recently inducted as a fellow of The Korean Academy of Science and Technology. The recognition is reserved for scientists and engineers who have been active for more than 20 years in their field and made significant contributions during that time. Since 2013, Lee's milestone accom- plishments have included completing the first genetic sequencing of 43 human Y chromosomes. Stamford law firm Cummings & Lock- wood has promoted three private client attorneys to principal: Katherine Cotter Gent, Elizabeth A. Falkoff and Rachel Rhein Zarghami. Gent advises high net worth individuals on estate and taxation issues. Falkoff's estate planning practice includes gift planning and the use of trusts as tools for asset manage- ment, creditor protec- tion, charitable giving and minimization of taxes. Zarghami focuses her practice on estate and tax planning. Shipman & Goodwin announced that two partners, Julie Fay and Gabe Jiran, have been elected to join the law firm's management committee. Fay is the former co-chair of Shipman's school law practice and represents a wide range of educa- tional and other nonprofit institutions. Jiran is former chair of the firm's employment and labor practice group. New Haven-based Babbidge Construction Co. recently announced the promotion of three employees. Kanu Maheshwari was promoted to director of operations and the executive leadership team. Project Manager Matt DiGiovanni and Assis- tant Superintendent David Vallerie Jr., were also elevated in the firm. Torrington Savings Bank recently appointed Bob Palermo as a new vice president, commercial loan officer. Palermo has nearly 35 years of commercial real estate lending experience at both community banking and institutional lending businesses. Prior to TSB, he spent over 12 years at Bankwell as the director of CRE relationship manage- ment. Prior to Bankwell, his experi- ence includes originating permanent and construction loans at GE Capital, Summit Bank, and People's United Bank. New Britain charitable endowment American Savings Foundation recently announced two promotions. Jennifer Cowan has been promoted to program officer for grants, while Heather Hokunson has been elevated to senior program officer for scholarships. In addition to grants, Cowan helps lead the foundation's communications efforts, including spotlighting grantee stories through print and social media. Hokunson joined the foundation in 2011 as assistant program officer and has assumed increasing responsibility for the management and administration of the scholarship program. Hartford real estate advisory firm Sentry Commercial has hired Nick Leone to its brokerage and advisory team as an industrial specialist. Leone has expe- rience in landlord and tenant repre- sentation and investment sales across southern New England, with a specialized interest along the Connecticut shoreline.
