26 Lamoureux Pagano Associates | Architects Leadership Team In 2017, Michael Pagano retired, passing the reins to a new leadership team. Joining Kathryn Crockett, the firm's third president, were Principals Eric D. Moore, Richard J. Lamoureux Jr., and Robert F. Para, Jr. The firm continued to adhere to its original principles and mission as it built upon past accomplishments. All four principals joined the firm in the 1980s and have grown into a cohesive team that play to each other's strengths. The distributed management style that the team has developed ensures that all four principals can remain active contributors on projects, while still providing the high-level management and leadership that moves the firm forward. Outside of the firm, local organizations have recognized members of the LPA|A team for their skills, expertise and willingness to enhance their professional abilities. In 2016, Leadership Worcester, which is jointly operated by the Worcester Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, selected Peter Caruso to participate in the group. Three years later, Sean Brennan was accepted into the class. This opportunity enabled them to gain insight into challenges and prospects facing the region and learn how they could play a role in shaping the future. Lasting Client Relationships LPA|A had enjoyed a robust relationship with the Town of Shrewsbury for many years, redesigning its Senior Center and several of its public schools. So when the town approved extensive renovations to its library in 2016, the library committee turned to the firm for its design expertise. LPA|A understood the importance of preserving important historic aspects of the existing building and recognized that given its prominent location at the center of town, the library would stand as an architectural focal point. Through close collaboration with the library committee, library consultants and the head librarian, LPA|A created design elements that complemented the structure and preserved its historic significance, while producing a fully functional, state-of-the-art building that will address changing needs as the Holy Cross Contemplative Center Crompton Park Pool
