These new roles fill vacancies created at Mechanics Hall during the COVID pandemic. Mirick O'Connell in Worcester has added MATTHEW RICKMAN to its litigation team. Rickman's practice is focused on white-collar criminal defense and civil litigation. He was previously counsel at Libby Hoopes Brooks & Mulvey in Boston. He holds a bachelor's degree from Emory University in Georgia and earned his law degree from American University in Washington, D.C. MutualOne Bank in Framingham has hired one new employee and promoted four. PAULO DEOLIVEIRA has been hired as assistant vice president, branch manager. He was previously area manager for Webster First Credit Union. The bank has promoted TIMOTHY STEINER to senior vice president, team leader of commercial lending, SHIHAB BAKARY to senior credit analyst, GRAZEL ZABALLERO to senior account representative I, and VICTORIA HARCOVITZ to accounting supervisor. WEBSTER FIVE in Auburn has been recognized as the No. 1 lender to veteran-owned businesses by the U.S. Small Business Administration Massachusetts district office. The bank loaned more than $3.6 million to veteran-owned businesses and was recognized at the SBA's Lender Awards. Bowditch & Dewey in Worcester has named BRIGID HARRINGTON and DANIELLE JUREMA LEDERMAN as partners at the firm. Harrington was previously director of civil rights at the University of Massachusetts and holds her law degree from Boston College. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Jurema Lederman is a trial attorney. She earned her law degree from Northeastern University in Boston and her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida. Oxford-based bankHometown has promoted ALLYSHA DESROSIERS to assistant branch manager of the bank's Grove Street location in Worcester. Desrosiers was previously a personal banker, a role she began at bankHometown in 2021. She started her career as a bank teller for Eastern Connecticut Savings Bank. HASSAN RHADFI has joined ERA Key Realty Services in Framingham as a Realtor. Rhadfi has worked as a technician at Edgetech in Milford and as a manufacturing engineer at United Electric Control in Watertown. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. Attorney KATHRYN CALO has joined Mirick O'Connell as partner in the Worcester firm's family law and divorce group. Calo has more than a decade of family law experience and graduated magna cum laude from the New England Law School in Boston. She serves as co-chair of the Worcester County Bar Association's family law/domestic relations section and is a mentor in the tiered community mentoring program of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Additionally, Calo is a participant of Attorneys Representing Children. Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester hired CATHERINE HANNA as its new vice president, loan servicing. In this role, Hanna will lead the loan servicing team, enhancing existing processes to improve the customer experience.
