The event recognized more than 20 honorees, including physicians, nurses, hospital executives and mental healthcare providers. The presenting sponsors were Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and Hartford HealthCare. The major sponsors were Post University and Trinity Health Of New England. The supporting sponsors were InterCommunity Health, Integris Group and O&G Industries Inc. Health Care Heroes honorees stand for a group photo. Brandon Rousseau, sales director at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, a presenting sponsor, welcomes honorees and guests to the event. Employees of Change Incorporated accept their award in the Mental Healthcare Provider category. Honoree R. Christoffersen, senior vice president and chief nursing officer at Bridgeport Hospital/Yale New Haven Health, accepts her award in the Nurse category from Anthem's Brandon Rousseau and HBJ Editor Greg Bordonaro.
