Collaborating with the leadership team, the author- ity's board of directors, and other state partners, Marcone oversees the finan- cial functions and maintains its financial controls. He manages the authority's $20 million operating budget and key relationships with actuaries, auditors, accoun- tants and vendors. What have been your biggest professional accomplish- ments over the past year? I aided in the successful deployment of our fund recovery project, which encompassed IT, policy, communica- tion and staffing components. I led the agency's efforts to success- fully recover those funds from non-compliant or delinquent employ- ers to ensure that all eligible employers are contributing their employees' contributions as outlined in the statute. ose efforts have led to a reclamation of over $1.5 million in previously unre- mitted contributions since January 2023. It was a true team effort, and I thank everyone at the authority for their part. In what ways are you involved in the community? I have served as treasurer and camp coordinator for my sons' local Boy Scout troop. In addition, I was a Cub Scout Cubmaster and member of the Pack's leadership committee.
