Storage unit portfolio changes hands Marcus & Millichap Inc. (NYSE: MMI), a commercial real estate brokerage firm headquartered in Calabasas, Calif., said it brokered the sale of a three-property self-storage portfolio in the Kennebec County towns of Chelsea and Vassalboro. e seller is an individual personal trust. e buyer was not disclosed. e purchase price was undisclosed, but the combined list price for the three properties was $4.5 million, a Marcus & Millichap spokesperson told Mainebiz. e addresses are 1203 Eastern Ave., Chelsea; 1250 Eastern Ave., Chelsea; and 1494 North Belfast Ave., Vassalboro. The fund will be awarding grants in partner- ship with nonprofit organizations, local government leaders, business leaders and education programs to address trade, technical and modern educational needs. Main Street Provisions, a retail store offering beverages, specialty food and giftware, opened at 62 Main St. in Waterville. Northeast Delta Dental awarded $665,000 to University of Maine at Augusta to expand the current UMA Lewiston Center Dental Clinic. The funding will allow the clinic to increase enrollment size of dental assisting, expand functions for den- tal assisting students and provide dental hygiene students with addi- tional rotations. The U.S. Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services' Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act grant program awarded $163,462 to the Rumford Police Department to provide greater mental health sup- port to law enforcement officers and their families. Stonington restaurant changes hands A long-time restaurant on the waterfront in Stonington has sold to Bar Harbor restaurateurs who have been in the business for nearly 50 years. Laura and Erik Johnson bought 27 Main St. from Rudi Neumayr of Nereus Investments LLC for an undisclosed price. e list price was $1.195 million. Erica Brooks of Swan Agency Real Estate represented the buyers and Morgan Eaton of e Island Agency represented the seller in the deal. e buyer's lender was Vicki Hall at Machias Savings Bank. e restaurant will be renamed 27 Fathoms Waterfront Grille. e menu will include seafood, steaks and burgers.
