KRDA's Continuing Mission KRDA's mission is to systematically engage new companies to come to Maine. KRDA's executive director – a business ambassador for the entire region – is actively pursuing prospects from leads generated by firms that are experts in making such contacts. KRDA has also solicited familiarization tours from site selectors who represent companies all over the country. The purpose of these visits is to introduce national consultants to the value proposition that central Maine provides. KRDA has succeeded in the face of deep economic adversities, including three recessions. The FirstPark concept proved itself with the arrival of T-Mobile in 2005 and the attraction of many smaller firms that thrive to this day within the park. FirstPark continues to be an asset of extraordinary value for attracting new businesses to support the economy of central Maine.
