One of the motivating factors in the unioniza- tion push was the U.S. Supreme Court's overturning of the Roe v. Wade abor- tion precedent, which the Massachu- setts workers felt would increase their workload as patients from states where abortion access is limited. e new contract applies until December 2025 and applies to workers in Worcester, Marlborough, Spring- field, and Boston. Planned Parenthood has more than 200 staff members in Massachusetts.
