2024 GOALS Earlier this year Good Shepherd Food Bank reached a key milestone in our journey to end hunger by marking a successful finish to the Campaign to End Hunger in Maine and distributing a record 33.6 million meals across the state. In addition to distributing meals to end day-to-day hunger, the Food Bank is evolving to help address the root causes of hunger. Maine's largest hunger relief organization wants to help ensure that Mainers not only have enough food today, but that they have the security of knowing they will have enough food next week, next month or next year. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES f Host a Virtual Food Drive. Learn more about this creative way to engage employees, clients and other groups in the fight against hunger. f Tune into the Feed Maine Telethon with NEWS CENTER Maine in May! f Collect food directly for your local food pantries – partners are listed on our website under "Find Food." GIVING OPPORTUNITIES f Join Corporate Par tners for a Hunger-Free Maine, a group of socially responsible corporations that support our mission through monetary gifts and/or food donations. A variety of recognition opportunities are available to celebrate your contributions! f Start a recurring monthly donation or make a one-time gift online, through the mail or by calling (207) 782-3554. f Include the Food Bank in your estate planning. f Donate your Clynk account balance. f Donate a vehicle you no longer need by calling (855) 500-RIDE. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES f Corporations, school groups, community organizations and more are welcome to volunteer at the Food Bank's two distribution centers (Auburn and Hampden locations). f Volunteers do a variety of different projects based on the present need. f Volunteer at one of our more than 600 partners located throughout the state.
