The Boulos Co., a commercial real estate firm in Portland, announced that Chris Paszyc earned dual SIOR designa- tion in the office and industrial sectors. Paszyc, a partner and broker at the firm, is the fourth person in Maine to secure the dual designation. Khmer Maine, a nonpartisan, com- munity organization working to improve the quality of life and the social and economic well-being of Cambodians in Maine, named Shenna Bellows, secretary of state, and Amy Arata, assistant republi- can leader, as its "Friend of the Cambodian Community" award winners during its annual din- ner. Others recognized were the Maine Immigrants' Rights Coalition as the organization's "Outstand- ing Community Partner Award" winner; Theary Leng Ryder as the "Excellence in Community Ser- vice Award" recipient; and Golden Wat Cognac as the "Outstanding Cambodian Business." Berman & Simmons, a law firm in Lewiston, said that six of its attor- neys were listed as Best Lawyers in America for 2024 and three others were cited as Ones to Watch. Shaheen & Gordon, a law firm in Dover, N.H., said that two of its Maine-based attorneys were listed as Best Lawyers in America for 2024. Sea Bags, a manufacturer and retailer in Portland, was selected as a "Legacy Business" by the U.S. Small Business Administration as part of the SBA's celebration of the 70th anniversary as a federal agency.
