She also specializes in foreign reporting and compliance for individuals living in the U.S. and expats. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? Being promoted to managing director within three years of joining UHY is a huge accomplishment, but the trust my clients have in me is most rewarding. One client asked his daughter to contact me for tax and finance support, upon his passing, knowing that they would be in good hands. How are you involved in the community? I help the elderly and disadvantaged members of our community with their accounting and tax needs pro bono. I also share my knowledge of financial manage- ment with teenagers and children to help them embrace financial literacy. What do you like to do outside of work? I consider myself a food enthusiast, and experiencing diverse cultures through different cuisines and restaurants is what I enjoy greatly. I have also been testing my culinary skills to deepen my love for food. Whilst I may not be a chef, I would most certainly qualify as a sous chef! What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far in your career? The most significant achievement in my role has been helping my clients navigate the unexpected headwinds of the past few years. From the pandemic to inflation and everything in between, I am proud to have walked alongside some incredible organi- zations as an advisor on their journeys. How are you involved in the community? I co-lead the Merrill Women's Exchange Central Connecticut Chapter, supporting women in finance. I mentor at Bank of America and the UConn School of Business. I volunteer with the Healthcare Financial Management Association Connecticut Chapter, serve on the Junior League of Greater Springfield and volunteer with Best Buddies International. What do you like to do outside of work? My family is my world. I love spending time with my husband Jay and our adorable four-year-old son Archie. On weekends, you can find us at the beach, hiking, paddling or on our hunt for the best lobster roll in Connecticut. I also read non-stop and love running, biking, and traveling.
