Some employees will be relocated to other offices or work remotely; about 44 will lose their jobs, most of whom opted not to relocate. About 32 employees will continue working at the Norwalk office until the closure is completed. Some may relocate to Camden. Yale New Haven Hospital President Churchwell leaving Longtime cardiologist Dr. Keith Churchwell is leaving his position as president of Yale New Haven Hospital in August for a national role focused on heart health. Churchwell is the next president of the American Heart Association, a volunteer position he will start in 2024. He is currently president-elect. Christopher O'Connor, president and CEO of the Yale New Haven Health system, which includes Yale New Haven Hospital, said Churchwell will step down as of Aug. 11, after an "impressive nine-year tenure," at the hospital. O'Connor credited Churchwell with guiding the hospital through the COVID-19 pandemic, and for improving patient access to health services. Pamela Sutton-Wallace, currently the health system's chief operating officer, will be the interim executive leader for Yale New Haven Hospital. New Haven digital health startup Wellinks names new CEO New Haven-based digital healthcare firm Wellinks, which has developed virtual tools to treat chronic obstruc- tive pulmonary disease (COPD), has named a new CEO. Stacie Bratcher is taking over as the company's chief executive. She replaces former CEO Alex Waldron, who left the company in March to pursue other oppor- tunities, according to a company spokesperson. Bratcher brings more than 20 years of expe- rience leading companies involved in cardiopulmonary care, most recently serving as CEO of Jet Health, a home health and hospice company. Bradley Airport concessions upgrade will include new restaurant Concessions at Bradley Interna- tional Airport are getting a facelift, with a new restaurant, Starbucks and other upgrades slated for later this year. The Connecticut Airport Authority announced that its concessionaire partner, Paradies Lagardère, will be upgrading its six existing retail establishments at Bradley, including two CNBC Stores, two New England Travelmarts, one iStore and the Avanti Marketplace. Over the next year, four of the stores will be updated while two will reopen under new names: CT River Landing and Charter Oak Emporium, respectively. In addition, a Starbucks is slated to open in the post-TSA food court area by the end of the summer. Further, Beercode Kitchen & Bar, a sit-down restaurant, will open soon at the Gates 20-30 concourse. AdvanceCT announces leadership change AdvanceCT, the state's nonprofit business support and recruitment arm, announced a leadership change for later this year, with current President John Bourdeaux taking over for CEO Peter Denious. AdvanceCT said Bourdeaux, who is also director of busi- ness development, will take over for Denious effective Sept. 30. After he steps down, Denious will remain with AdvanceCT as a part-time advisor for the rest of 2023. Denious was appointed president and CEO of AdvanceCT in Aug. 2019, to help with the organization's transition from the Connecticut Economic Resource Center (CERC) into what the nonprofit has become. Report: Foreign investment in CT topped $1.88B in 2022 Foreign companies invested more than $1.88 billion in Connecticut last year, according to new data from the U.S. Bureau of Economic Anal- ysis (BEA), with almost all of that coming via company acquisitions. Besides about $6 million, all the foreign investment Connecticut saw in 2022 came from foreign compa- nies purchasing firms in the state. Last year's $1.88 billion in invest- ment was an improvement from 2021, when foreign investment totaled $1.27 billion, with all but $5 million coming from acquisitions.
