Meagher, research@nebusinessmedia.com Boston-based Safety Insurance Group Inc. announced Oct. 6 its intention to acquire Northeast-MetroWest Insurance Agency, which has offices in Westborough and Auburn. The deal was expected to be completed sometime in the fourth quarter of 2022. Financial terms were not disclosed. Northeast-MetroWest pro- vides personal and commercial insurance and, according to a press release on Oct. 6, has more than $40 million in policy premiums. After the acquisition, it will operate as its own business under Safety's holding company. Its employees will become em- ployees of the Safety subsidiary.
