NINA DOW has joined Bowditch & Dewey in Worcester in the law firm's estate, financial, and tax planning practice area. Dow earned her law degree at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, a master of laws degree in taxation from Boston University School Four doctors have joined UMass Memorial Medical Group. Dr. TOMAS MANUEL APPLETON FIGUEIRA, a radiologist who earned his medical degree from Universidade de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal and completed his residency at Hospital Fernando Fonseca in Portugal, specializes in interventional radiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he serves as director for interventional oncology. Dr. SEVIL HEMAYAT specializes in internal medicine at Lincoln Street Internal Medicine in Worcester. She earned M O V E R S & S H A K E R S of Law, and earned her undergraduate degree from Emerson College, also in Boston. Before joining Bowditch & Dewey, she was an attorney with Mountain, Dearborn & Whiting in Worcester. Fidelity Bank in Leominster has promoted LAUREN CLEARWATER to assistance vice president, portfolio manager. In this role, she will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of commercial loans. Clearwater joined Fidelity Bank in 2018 and was previously portfolio manager and credit analyst. She holds a bachelor's degree in history from Western Connecticut State University. GRACE ROESSLER, an attorney at Worcester law firm Mirick O'Connell, has been elected partner. Roessler is a litigator in the family law and divorce division and will build out her practice at the firm. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and earned her law degree at New England Law | Boston. GUISSEPPE SANSOTTA has joined ERA Key Realty Services's Milford office as a Realtor. Sansotta joins the firm from Art's Auto Service, also in Milford, where he was the night shift manager. Previously, he worked as a dispatcher at OnProcess Technology in Ashland. PAGANO MEDIA, a design agency in Worcester and Boston, has won two gold prizes from the Communicator Awards, an annual contest receiving more than 5,000 entries from a variety of industries for website design and other campaigns. Pagano won for its work on webpages for the Worcester County Sheriff's Office and the Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership. GREATEST HITS CANNABIS in Dudley has been selected for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce's 2023 Silver Hammer award, which is given to acknowledge new businesses adding value to the region's economy, as well as specific visual appeal through its construction or rehabilitation. The company will add two new locations to its operations in Taunton and Lynn. Clark University in Worcester has appointed EMILY ROPER-DOTEN as vice president for undergraduate admission and financial assistance. In this role, she will be responsible for strategic enrollment planning across all undergraduate divisions, as well as optimizing financial aid options for students. Previously, Roper-Doten was dean of admission and financial aid at Olin College of Engineering in Needham. She holds a bachelor's degree from Colgate University in New York, as well as a master's degree in higher education administration from Boston College. Clark University in Worcester has renamed a portion of Woodland Street as Jack Foley Way after retired vice president for government and community affairs JACK FOLEY. Foley, a longtime employee at Clark and advocate for the Main South neighborhood, spent his career at the university strengthening community ties. Foley was presented with a citation from the Massachusetts Senate for his contributions to neighborhood development. He was a Worcester School Committee member for 20 years. CAROLINA LIMA has joined Thrive Real Estate Specialists in Shrewsbury. Lima will work as a Realtor and was previously an associate relationship manager at international bank HSBC. She was awarded a Commitment to Excellence designation by the National Association of Realtors and holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Providence College in Rhode Island. JACLYN ESPARZ, a registered nurse at Saint Vincent Hospital's Center for Women and Infants in Worcester, has been awarded the hospital's DAISY Award, named by the Diseases Attacking the Immune System Foundation. The award is intended to recognize nurses who provide particularly compassionate care. Esparz received the award based on her patient care for postpartum mothers and newborns and was nominated by a family she treated. Main Street Bank in Marlborough has added BRENT MATHEWS to the commercial lending team as senior vice president commercial lender. In this role, he will provide loans for growth and recapitalizations to business. He has specific experience in acquisitions by privately-owned companies, private equity groups, family offices, and independent sponsors. Mathews was most recently head of the sponsor finance team at BankProv in Amesbury.
