The new dealership, set to open in May 2024, will replace the current Hoffman Porsche dealership at 630 Connecticut Blvd. The building next to the current facility is being demolished and is the location of the new dealership. The current facility will continue operating until the new building is completed. As one of just four Porsche 5th Generation dealerships in the country, it will have a climate-controlled service drive-thru and a client lounge with a viewing window that overlooks a greatly expanded service area, along with other amenities and services, Hoffman Auto said. "This is about growing for our next hundred years with the fourth generation of our family," the company said. HARTFORD The federal General Services Administra- tion has identified a new potential site for a federal courthouse to replace the aging Abraham A. Ribicoff United States Building and Courthouse at 450 Main St., in Hartford. The 10-acre Hartford property being considered is at 61 Woodland St., in the city's Asylum Hill neighborhood, and is currently home to a state office building. It's one of three locations the federal government is considering. The other sites are 154 Allyn St., which is currently a surface parking lot, and 201 Hudson St., a surface parking lot with an auto-detailing shop on it. According to the Federal Register, the GSA would own and manage the new building, which would be occupied by various federal agency tenants. The U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut will be the anchor tenant. The GSA is preparing an environmental impact statement analyzing the potential impacts of the project. The U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut currently operates three courthouses in Hartford, Bridgeport and New Haven. NEW HAVEN Yale New Haven Hospital has paid $101.5 million for a downtown New Haven medical lab and office building it has leased for scientific research space. Fusco Park LLC, an affiliate of New Haven- based Fusco Management and principal Lynn R. Fusco, sold the building at 55 Park St., to Yale New Haven Hospital Inc. in May. Yale was offered the right of first refusal when the building hit the market, and opted to make the purchase. It has used nearly five floors of the building since its 2009 debut for clinical laboratories, a clinical pharmacy, and an auditorium for lectures, among other uses, the hospital said. The 155,000-square-foot, six-story building sits on 1.25 acres at the intersection of Park Street and Frontage Road. The property has an appraised value of $83.7 million, city records show. MIDDLETOWN A Wallingford-based transport company owner is looking to build a trucking terminal on vacant land in Middletown. Applicant Harpreet Sandhu is planning an 8,100-square-foot warehouse with eight standard loading docks and two large-truck docks and truck parking, on Lot 7 at 370 Timber Ridge Road. Harpreet and Manjeet Sandhu are princi- pals of H&J Trucking LLC and Sandhu Trans- port LLC, both based out of Wallingford. The warehouse would be used for unloading, processing and shipping freight, according to city land use officials. The building would also have office space, a restroom, lobby, lunchroom, 24 regular parking spaces and parking for 18 tractor-trailers. The 6.25 acres of vacant land are owned by TBS Plus LLC and principal Vincent Dipentima of Cromwell. It has a current appraised value of $13,200. PHOTO | CONTRIBUTED
