The company, owned by New York-based EmblemHealth, announced that Mark Meador is its next president. Meador will oversee the health plan's busi- ness in Connecticut and Massachusetts. He succeeds Roberta Wachtelhausen, who has served as interim president since November 2022. As part of the leadership transi- tion, Wachtelhausen will retire from ConnectiCare. However, she will continue to serve on the board and act as an advisor to ConnectiCare subsidiary WellSpark, a corporate wellness program provider she founded. Meador has been with Connec- tiCare since 2019, serving as the company's general counsel. Before that, he spent over 20 years with Aetna in various executive positions. Earlier in his career, he held lead- ership positions with other insurance carriers, including Prudential, and worked for a private law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. KeyBank recently announced that Mark Commune has been promoted to senior vice president and Key Private Bank market leader for Connecticut and Massachusetts. In his new role, Commune leads a wealth management team located in Hartford that serves high-net-worth individuals and families throughout southern New England. Commune joined KeyBank in 2018 as an area retail leader for the Connecticut shoreline. He was promoted to regional retail leader – New England in 2020. Prior to Key, Commune held leadership and employee development roles at Santander Bank and Citizens Bank. Dan Kim has been appointed vice president of marketing and communi- cations at Quinnipiac University. In his new role, Kim will oversee the office of marketing and communica- tions, including the Quinnipiac University Poll and the new Center for Survey Insights. He will also serve on the university's management committee. Kim is currently senior vice presi- dent for communications, marketing and external relations at Brandeis University, where he has led the communications strategy since 2019. Coatings manufacturer Coval Technologies has named Josh Gordon as a regional sales manager. Coval is based in Texas, but Gordon is in Glastonbury, where he will build new customer relationships and enhance existing client management in the northeast U.S., according to the company. Gordon's experience in sales, flooring systems, and customer service covers a broad range of industries, including a concrete refinishing company, auto dealership, and restaurants. The Strong Family Farm in Vernon has hired Jen Smith as its executive director. Smith has nonprofit training and credentials from Tufts University and the University of Indiana. She has been in the nonprofit space professionally for six years. In her new role, she is responsible for growing the farm's educational programs to more youth and adults. Waterbury-based Post Univer- sity recently announced three senior-level appointments, including Adam Gorski as its new chief information officer. The school has also named Kevin Hale its criminal justice program chair, and Matthew Reilly its police recertification program director. As CIO, Gorski will be responsible for the strategic direction and imple- mentation of technology initiatives, ensuring all digital resources align with the evolving needs of Post's students and faculty. Before joining Post, he held leadership positions at Contour Global Management, The Timken Co., Element Solutions Inc., Stanley Black & Decker, and more. Hale has more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, including as chief of police for the Ansonia Police Department.
