Lovley, of Lovley Development Inc., and Valenti, of Newport Realty Brokers, have real estate investment and property devel- opment experience going back 34 years. The team has aggressively expanded their Connecticut port- folio over the past year. Other projects include The Newport Center, with 9,520 square feet of office, restaurant and retail suites on Farmington Avenue in Berlin, near Steele Center; and Willowbrook Estates, a 61-home, age-restricted adult residential community in Plainville and Farmington, with the first two phases built and sold out, and the last two phases fully under contract. In 2018, Valenti and Lovley were partners in Ringgold Estates, a 25-unit townhouse condominium development on Park Road near Blue Back Square in West Hartford. The Newport team's projects also include The Naubuc Profes- sional Center in Glastonbury and a new Dairy Queen in Waterbury. Newport works on all aspects of development projects, from site evaluation to land use board approvals, securing financing, design, construction and leasing. Martin Kenny and Alan Lazowski M artin Kenny runs Hartford-based multifamily investment, develop- ment and management firm Lexington Partners. Alan Lazowski sits at the head of national parking giant LAZ Parking and is an influential real estate investor. The pair have long been friends, and Lazowski never misses an opportunity to invest in one of Lexington's develop- ments. In fact, Lazowski has been an investor in all of Lexington's projects since 2006, including some of the largest currently in the works in Greater Hartford. Lexington is closing in on completion of a 292-unit apartment redevelopment of the 22-acre Sisters of St. Joseph of Chambery campus in West Hartford. The mostly converted convent — the nuns have lifetime rights to inhabit a wing of the building — on May 1 debuted 92 apartments, which have seen brisk demand. Lexington continues work on the grounds and a new building that will host 200 additional units. Kenny said he expects work on One Park to be completed in July or August. The roughly $70 million venture has finan- cial backing from Avon-based investor Corridor Ventures and Lazowski.
