Meesha Luce, a personal insurance account executive at Allen Insurance and Financial in Camden, was named the 2023 chairwoman of the Maine Insurance Agents Association's Young Agents Committee. Nirav Shah, director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, was appointed principal deputy director at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Shah will assume the new role, second in leadership under U.S. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, in March.
