WE'RE MOVING OUR MEDICAL SCHOOL TO A NEW
BUILDING ON OUR PORTLAND CAMPUS.
Scheduled to open in the summer of 2024, the Harold and
Bibby Alfond Center for Health Sciences, on the University
of New England's Portland Campus, will become the new
home of UNE's College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNE COM),
Maine's only medical school.
Moving to the new state-of-the-art facility will allow UNE
COM to train more doctors and bring together all of UNE's
health sciences programs on a single, interprofessional
campus — the greatest concentration of health professions
programs in a single footprint in all of New England.
It's all part of UNE's larger mission, to support the health of
people, communities, and the planet.
