First National Realty Partners bought the 259,104-square-foot plaza from EDENS in a sale recorded Dec. 1. Built in 1970, Bishops Corner was renovated in 2011 and is currently anchored by a Target store that opened in 2019. Other tenants include Marshalls/HomeGoods and TD Bank, along with several restaurants, service-ori- ented retailers and upper-level offices. Bishops Corner is located at 333 North Main St. and 2523 Albany Ave., which is 5 miles west of Hartford at the Route 44 intersection. Newmark Group Inc. represented the seller and procured the buyer in the deal. EDENS purchased Bishops Corner in 1998. The new owner, First National Realty Partners, was founded in 2015 and is based in Red Bank, N.J. Its Connecticut portfolio also includes Sand Hill Plaza in Newtown. WINDSOR Plans for a Microtel Inn & Suites on the Day Hill Road corridor in Windsor were recently approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission. Alford Associates Inc. and Wilson M. Alford Jr. submitted plans in early October for a four- story Microtel with 91 guest rooms and 96 parking spaces. The 43,500-square-foot hotel will sit on 2.6 acres at 675 Day Hill Road along the corridor close to Interstate 91. It will also sit on portions of two existing parcels at 777 Day Hill Road and 903 Day Hill Road, owned by real estate developer Mark Greenberg. According to Greenberg's website, parcels at 777, 875 and 903 Day Hill Road are "part of our larger, most vibrant development project at Day Hill Road," which consists of about 43 acres of land where several recreational and hospitality projects are proposed or underway, including the approved Microtel. FARMINGTON Jordan's Furniture will move into the former Lord & Taylor store at Westfarms mall. The furniture and mattress retailer's site will be one of the largest furniture stores in the state, with more than 120,000 square feet of showroom space, the company said. Also, the store will have 5,000 square feet of entertainment space and a restaurant. The store is expected to open during the first quarter of 2024. It will be Jordan Furnitutre's eighth location in the Northeast, and second in Connecticut. SUFFIELD Suffield has agreed to sell 26 acres near Bradley International Airport to Agawam, Massa- chusetts-based ATR Realty, which plans to build a roughly 60,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for machine parts. The development could mean more than $80,000 in new annual taxes and bring in around 60 employees, said Bill Hawkins, Suffield's planning director. The town agreed to sell municipal-owned parcels at 1140 and 1148 South St., to ATR for $675,000. The wooded properties are 5 acres and 21 acres, respectfully. Hawkins said the town has a purchase-and-sales agreement with ATR. The company is still performing due diligence to ensure the site will accommodate its plan, he said. Land-use approvals must also be secured, he said. Thomas DeCosmo, principal of ATR Realty, said his company plans to build for a specific tenant, whom he could not yet disclose due to confidentiality agreements. DeCosmo described ATR as a family-owned company with a portfolio of New England industrial properties. The business is an outgrowth of Thomas Industrial Machinery, a roughly four-de- cade-old Springfield-based supplier of new and used metalworking machines.
