UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN CONNECTICUT | COMMUNITY IMPACT REPORT 2022 | 19
Our VITA coalition joined a national
press conference with United States Vice
President Kamala Harris' office to advocate
for the benefits of the Child Tax Credit and
its impact on local families.
We also are grateful for members of
United Way Women United who tirelessly
raise awareness and resources to advocate
for ALICE families across our region.
Volunteer. VITA volunteers obtain IRS
certification and are trained to help ALICE
households claim all of the refunds and
credits they have earned, such as the EITC,
Child Tax Credit, Child Tax Rebate and more.
No previous experience is required.
Will you join us?
Together, we can ensure local families
achieve financial security. Learn more
