Colony Hardware acquires Michigan-based distributor Colony Hardware Inc., which is headquartered in Orange, announced recently it has acquired B&L Bolt Inc., and Slip-On Lock Nut LLC, a Michigan- based distributor of struts, fasteners, power tools and other supplies to construction and industrial customers. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Colony Hardware distributes construction materials and job-site supplies, and its customers include construction firms and contractors. It provides a range of products, including power tools, vacuums, generators, utility pumps and personal protective equipment. It has 48 branches across the Northeast, Midwest, mid-Atlantic, mid- South and Florida. B&L Bolt, which has locations in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, Michigan, was founded in 1986. It primarily services electrical and mechanical contractors and manufacturers. Stony Creek Brewery releases new beer to help fund veterans memorial Branford-based Stony Creek Brewery launched a new lager in November in support of erecting an Afghanistan and Iraq War veterans memorial in the state. "Area of Operations (AO) Lager" de- buted at an event at the brewery. For ev- ery beer purchased, Stony Creek Brew- ery will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Afghanistan Iraq Veterans War Memorial Fund.
