Anne is responsible for regional business retention and expansion efforts. Her focus is mitigating or solving issues for companies by connections to resources, essential to their growth. Additionally, she is a convenor for the two regional sector partnerships in both manufacturing and healthcare in the region. She is creating talent pipelines for businesses, creating a coordinated conversation between the educational institutions and industry. What's been your biggest professional accomplishment so far? What have been your major accomplishments in the last year? One of the most meaningful accomplishments of my career occurred early on, when I ranked third in the country for new representatives with Northwestern Mutual. at single accomplishment gave me the confidence and inspiration to do what I love – helping people. Title: Professor/Founder College: Yale School of Medicine Highest degree: MD L ynn Fiellin's community-based program, the play2PREVENT Lab at Yale, focuses on building and testing videogame interventions targeting the most critical health outcomes impacting teens including mental health, addiction and sexual health. She has built sustained relationships with stakeholders, bridging an important gap in providing evidence- based youth health interventions. She has carried these accomplishments with her to her company Playbl with the goal of getting these videogames into the hands of as many kids as possible. What's been your biggest professional ac- complishment so far? What have been your major accomplishments in the last year? Our videogame interventions were recently recognized by the Office of the U.S. Surgeon General as a critical resource for adolescent mental health and have been identified as evidence-based resources by SAMHSA (the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration). is past year, my company Playbl, fo- cusing on our videogame marketing/distri- bution, was awarded the highly competitive Yale Blavatnik Award, allowing my team to develop with Deloitte, a data dashboard, adventures led to what I consider my greatest accomplishment - my present role at the Chamber. In this role, I am able to help people connect to other businesses, resources and support that helps them grow. It is my greatest honor to have them consider me their "go-to" resource. What are your keys to maintaining business success? Every meeting begins by understanding the company and its goals. is takes research, listening and sometimes, negotiating. is role helps me to utilize my love for research, my ability to listen and interpret what resources would be most beneficial for each business. I am a trained mezzo soprano and pursued my singing in another genre – a cappella singing – barbershop style. I am a member of a 17-time Regional Championship chorus in Connecticut. providing an engaging interface for educa- tors to retrieve student engagement data. Playbl was also recently recognized as "Innovator of the Month" by CT's Senator Chris Murphy's office. Playbl is rapidly gaining traction and has just signed its third customer! What are your keys to maintaining business success? My key to business success is having the best team. Anusha Raja, MD, MBA, is my partner in Playbl, bringing a critical unique set of skills. We have a fabulous, talented advisory team. And we put our customers first, incorporating their input so we have the greatest impact on youth. Fun Fact: Tell us something most people don't know about you. My three kids, who were between ages 10-20 when I started this work, are my inspiration.
