The CEO is always available with an open-door policy - happy to listen and take ideas and suggestions from everyone, from long-time, seasoned employ- ees to those newest with fresh ideas. No idea is off-limits. As part of a credit union association that has banded together to use strength in numbers, SCVU has negotiated better rates on insurances and tailored plans to fit employees. For health insurance, there are three options, with low employee contributions and employer contribu- tions to HSA accounts. For retirement savings, SVCU matches employee contri- butions dollar for dollar up to 3%. After that, it's 50 cents on the dollar up to an employee contribution of 6%. There is also an end-of-year Safe Harbor contribu- tion. Employees are awarded a monetary amount each year based on their years of service. Appreciation lunches are provided by the Credit Union to thank staff for their hard work. Flexible hours are de- signed to accommodate school events, taking a family member to the doctor, and more; immediate families are always invited to corporate events; and free or discounted tickets are available to local family entertainment or sporting events! There's plenty of enjoyable time there, with Halloween costume contests and potluck lunches. Monday Memos are communications that are sent weekly with photos to make employees smile, as well as motivational quotes. From time to time, there are giveaways of free logo-wear, including winter jackets, as well as gas card giveaways and an employee prize calendar.
