Women make up 6% of the workforce, down from 11% in January. Fontaine Bros. of Springfield and Di- meo Construction Co. of Providence at Doherty Memorial High School, employ 15% Worcester residents, down from 16% in January and 28% people of color, up from 23%. e percentage of women employed decreased slightly to 10%, but remains at the goal. Atlanta-based Wood Partners' devel- opment, Alta on the Row, on Shrews- bury Street is 8% completed. Worcester residents make up 12% percent of the workforce, people of color, 14%, and women, 4%. e Madison Properties' 228-unit residential project at 1 Green Island Boulevard is 24% complete. Worcester residents make up 9% of the work- force, down from 10% in January; peo- ple of color are 26%, up from 22%, and women are 2%, the same as January. GWCF names interim CEO following ex-leaders' abrupt exits e Greater Worcester Com- munity Foun- dation on Sept. 21 named Tim Johnstone as its interim president and CEO while the GWCF board of directors continues its search for a full-time CEO following Jim Ayers resignation from the $200-million foundation aer five months on the job. Johnstone is the president and CEO of Johnstone Advantage Consulting Group, and previously worked as the chief operating officer for Worcester nonprofit Ascentria Care Alliance. GWCF has been looking for a new CEO since Ayers quit on June 3, due to personal reasons. He started in his role as CEO on Jan. 3, when he replaced Barbara Fields, who le the foundation in March 2021 aer 18 months. Board Chairwoman Carolyn Stempler worked as the interim CEO between Fields' resignation and Ayers' hiring.
