While its delivery and acces- sibility may vary across time and location, it's a funda- mental human need always in demand. And in Central Massachusetts, where UMass Memorial Health in Worcester is the largest employer, boasting 14,600 local employees, according to the Worcester Business Journal Research Department, the sector is an economic force. That kind of sta- bility – knowing the field you work in is both necessary and established – is a major appeal for prospective workers. "From a job per- spective, there's a lot of stability.
