Nickel was previously senior assistant vice president of branch operations and consumer sales for the credit union's parent company, Deere Employees Credit Union in Moline, Ill. Yokogawa Fluid Imaging Technologies Inc., a life sci- ences technol- ogy company in Scarborough, hired Louise Brogan as an applications scientist. Brogan was previously a biology lecturer and assistant in instruction at Bates College. The city of Portland hired Mary Beth Daigneault as administrator of The Barron Center, the city's rehabilitation/ nursing and long-term care facility. Daigneault was administrator at St. Clare-Newport in Newport, R.I. Friends of Casco Bay in South Portland hired Heather Kenyon as sci- ence and advocacy associate. Brann & Isaacson, a law firm in Lewiston, hired Meghan Myers as an associate. Myers, whose practice will focus on estate planning, estate and trust administration and real estate, was previously an associate attorney at Lambert Coffin and had a solo prac- tice focused on estate planning. Fontaine Family, an Auburn real estate firm, hired Sierra Lemieux as an associate broker in Auburn. Thomas College in Waterville hired Mike Akanji as assistant director of graduate and professional studies and assistant men's basketball coach and Kristin Bishop as assistant direc- tor of graduate recruiting. Akanji was previously Next Step Director at Tree Street Youth while Bishop was program and outreach coordinator for civic engagement at Colby College. Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty, a luxury real estate company in Portland, hired Colin Harvey as a real estate professional in Damariscotta. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust hired Jack Farmer as vice presi- dent, mortgage loan originator. Farmer most recently served as a loan officer with Guild Mortgage. The University of Maine in Orono hired Jason Entsminger as assistant professor of entrepreneurship and innovation and assistant Extension professor and small business spe- cialist. Entsminger was with the Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development, hosted at Pennsylvania State University. Maine Crisp, an artisanal snack producer in Winslow, hired Read McNamara as director of sales. The Maine Connectivity Authority hired Tanya Emery as economic development director. Emery was previously com- munity and economic development director with the city of Bangor. General Dynamics Bath Iron Works hired David Clark as vice president, opera- tions. Clark was previously chief of shipyard operations at Marinette Marine in Marinette, Wis.
