Passion project: Coming from the Bronx in New York City, I can relate to the everyday struggle and hardships that less-fortunate mem- bers of the community experience. I provide food when I can, no matter what a person is going through at that moment to bring them some happiness. Audacious goal: I want to bring back the Sunday family dinner tradition through my busi- ness. Growing up, we had Sunday dinners with the whole family. As the years pass, between busy sched- ules and electronics, this tradition is fading. I want people to come to my establishment and remember how important family dinners truly are. Favorite quote: "It doesn›t matter where you're from. You can be from the 'hood or the suburbs. You can be poor with no education or a college graduate. No matter your background, you can win." — Lil B Influential book: The Bible Favorite movies/TV shows: I love any movie with Martin Lawrence; "Martin" is my favorite show. How do you recharge: I sit and talk to the people I love, which helps me remember why I do what I do — to make the lives of those around me better. Martin Beavers owns Soul Food Paradise, a restaurant in the Maine Mall. FAMILY OFFICE FAMILY OFFICE SERVICES You have your choice of CPA firms to work for.
