COMMUNITY IMPACT The Jackson Laboratory Volunteer Time Off program offers all employees two paid days per year for charitable activities in their community. JAX Community Volunteers are small groups of employees who work for a common cause including Heart of Maine United Way, American Cancer Society and the Alzheimer's Association of Maine. JAX staff members serve on town councils, select boards and planning boards, and are involved in nonprofit organizations that support youth and families in issues including food insecurity, housing, public health, libraries and education. e JAX College Scholarship Program is supporting first-generation Maine college students pursuing a STEM degree.
