Whether through an in-depth one-time consultation or full legal representation in complex multi-year cases, ILAP ensures that immigrant community members receive expert legal guidance and fair treatment under the law. And where laws and policies are unjust, ILAP works to change them. In 2023, we will continue to provide our full range of immigration legal services to more than 3,000 people and their families. Other critical initiatives include: Expanding access to legal representation for people seeking asylum, children and youth, survivors of domestic violence and trafficking, and people in immigration court. Reaching more purposefully to all corners of Maine, from York to Aroostook counties, through a combination of in-person and virtual services. Advocating for a more just and welcoming immigration system that strengthens families and communities. Centering our work in equity and anti-racism and continuing to build a more inclusive organization. FUNDRAISING EVENTS/ OPPORTUNITIES ILAP is always in search of dedicated businesses and groups who are interested in hosting a benefit event on our behalf.
